The fact that Paramore was signed to Fueled by Ramen after playing only one show on the 2005 Warped Tour should be reason enough to make the Tennessee quintet's set a must-see.
But if that doesn't sell you, consider now, just two years later, the main-stage act has not one but two impressive albums under its belt and is headlining the tour in which it was discovered.
Bolstered by 18-year-old frontwoman Hayley Williams' passionate performances and the band's explosively high-energy shows, Paramore is now speeding full-steam across the country, ignited by the success of Riot!, released earlier this summer.
Chock full of pop-punk gems, Riot! finds the band masterfully following the brand of rock founded on its debut album, All We Know Is Falling, yet artfully expanding on that sound to cement itself as a scene stalwart.
So when you hear the opening riffs to the single "Misery Business" at the show, don't be surprised if you're stirred into a raucous jump-fest, because that's the kind of riot Paramore hopes to inspire. - TW
